2.1. These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, Website Terms of Use, and Acceptable Use Policy, where applicable.

2.2. Our Privacy Notice can be found at: https://mttpokerschool.com/privacy

2.3. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and anything else on our Website, sales page, emails, or checkout pages, these Terms will apply unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

2.4. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

3. Eligibility

3.1. You must be at least 18 years old to join the Academy.

3.2. By joining the Academy, you confirm that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract;

  • the information you provide to us is accurate and not misleading;

  • you will keep your account details up to date;

  • you will comply with these Terms and any community rules or acceptable use policies we publish; and

  • you are responsible for ensuring that your participation in poker-related training and any poker activity you undertake is lawful in the country, state, or region where you live or play.

3.3. We may refuse or cancel a Membership if we reasonably believe that you do not meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Joining the Academy

4.1. You can join the Academy by completing the online checkout process and making payment.

4.2. The order process will usually be as follows:

  • you click to purchase the Membership;

  • you proceed to checkout;

  • payment is processed by Stripe or another payment provider we may use;

  • once payment is accepted, you will receive confirmation and/or access instructions by email.

4.3. Your contract with us starts when your payment is accepted and we confirm your Membership or provide access to the Academy, whichever happens first.

4.4. We may refuse a Membership application or cancel a new Membership where we reasonably consider this necessary, including where there has been a payment issue, misuse of our Website, previous breach of our terms, or other reasonable concern. If we refuse your Membership after you have paid and you have not breached these Terms, we will refund the payment you made.

4.5. If you notice an error in your order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@mttpokerschool.com.

5. Membership options

5.1. The Academy may be offered as a monthly Membership, annual Membership, or another Membership option shown on the relevant checkout page.

5.2. The features included in your Membership will be described on the relevant sales page, checkout page, or offer page at the time you join.

5.3. Academy features may include, for example:

  • access to a private community;

  • access to training courses and educational content;

  • access to live calls, workshops, office hours, or coaching sessions;

  • access to replays and recordings;

  • access to templates, worksheets, and other training resources;

  • member discussion and feedback opportunities.

5.4. The exact content, schedule, structure, coaches, calls, and resources included in the Academy may change over time in accordance with clause 15.

5.5. Your Membership is personal to you. You must not share, transfer, sell, lend, or give access to your account to anyone else.

6. Payments, billing, and renewals

6.1. The price of your Membership will be shown on the checkout page or order form at the time you purchase.

6.2. Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise.

6.3. Prices include VAT or applicable taxes where stated at checkout. Any taxes, fees, or currency conversion charges applied by your bank, card provider, payment provider, or local authority are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.

6.4. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider we may use. We do not store your full card details.

6.5. If you choose a monthly Membership, your first payment will be taken when you join. Your Membership will then automatically renew each month unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

6.6. If you choose an annual Membership, your first payment will be taken when you join. Your Membership will then automatically renew each year unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

6.7. Recurring payments will usually be taken on or around the same calendar date as your initial payment. For example, if you join on 28 January, your next monthly payment will usually be due on or around 28 February. If a billing date falls on a date that does not exist in a later month, or if there is a bank/payment-provider delay, Stripe or our payment provider may adjust the billing date.

6.8. By purchasing a recurring Membership, you authorise us and our payment provider to take recurring payments automatically until your Membership is cancelled.

6.9. If payment fails, we may:

  • retry the payment;

  • contact you to update your payment method;

  • suspend your access to the Academy;

  • cancel your Membership if payment is not made within a reasonable period.

6.10. If any payment remains unpaid for more than 7 days after the due date, we may charge interest on the overdue amount at 3% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated from the due date until the date payment is received. We may also suspend your Membership until payment is made.

6.11. We may change the price of the Academy from time to time. Any price change will not affect the price you have already paid for your current billing period.

6.12. If we increase the price of your recurring Membership, we will give you reasonable notice before the increase applies. You may cancel your Membership before the price increase takes effect if you do not wish to continue at the new price.

7. Your first 14 days and refunds

7.1. If you purchase the Academy as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of entering into the contract.

7.2. In addition to any legal rights you may have, we offer the following 14-day refund policy for new members:

You may cancel your Membership within 14 days of first joining the Academy and receive a refund of your first Membership payment.

7.3. This 14-day refund policy applies only to your initial sign-up payment for the Academy. It does not apply to:

  • second or later monthly payments;

  • annual renewal payments, except where required by law;

  • re-joining after cancelling, unless we expressly agree otherwise;

  • payments made after the first 14 days of your initial Membership;

  • any separate products, coaching packages, events, or services unless their own terms say otherwise.

7.4. To request a refund within your first 14 days, you must email support@mttpokerschool.com or use any cancellation form or cancellation process we make available.

7.5. If you cancel within your first 14 days and are entitled to a refund, we will refund the payment to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request.

7.6. If you receive a refund under this clause, your Academy access will end.

7.7. After the first 14 days of your initial Membership, payments are non-refundable unless:

  • we are required to refund you by law;

  • we have materially failed to provide the Academy;

  • we have made a material reduction to your Membership during a paid period and you are entitled to a refund under clause 15;

  • we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

7.8. For clarity, if you make a second or later monthly payment and then decide you no longer wish to continue, you will not receive a refund for that monthly payment unless one of the exceptions in clause 7.7 applies. Your cancellation will stop future payments.

7.9. If you have an annual Membership and cancel after the first 14 days of your initial Membership, you will not usually receive a refund for the remaining part of that annual Membership unless one of the exceptions in clause 7.7 applies. Your cancellation will stop future annual renewal payments.

8. Cancelling your Membership

8.1. You may cancel your Membership at any time by emailing support@mttpokerschool.com or by using any cancellation process we make available.

8.2. Cancellation stops future recurring payments. It does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless these Terms say otherwise or we are required to refund you by law.

8.3. If you cancel after your first 14 days, you will usually continue to have access to the Academy until the end of your current paid billing period, unless:

  • you ask us to remove access sooner;

  • we terminate your Membership because of a breach of these Terms;

  • continued access would create a legal, security, payment, or community safety issue.

8.4. To avoid being charged for a renewal, you should cancel before your next payment date. If you contact us before your renewal date asking to cancel but the payment is taken before we process your request, we will refund that renewal payment once we verify that the cancellation request was received before the renewal payment was taken.

8.5. We will process cancellation requests within a reasonable time.

9. Your account and security

9.1. You are responsible for keeping your login details, passwords, and account access secure.

9.2. You must not allow anyone else to use your Academy account.

9.3. You must notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

9.4. You are responsible for activity on your account where that activity results from your failure to keep your login details secure or your deliberate sharing of account access.

9.5. We may suspend or cancel your account if we reasonably believe your account has been shared, compromised, misused, or used in breach of these Terms.

10. Access to the Academy and third-party platforms

10.1. The Academy may be delivered using third-party platforms, including Circle, Stripe, video hosting providers, email providers, and other software platforms.

10.2. You may need an internet connection, compatible device, and current browser or app to access the Academy.

10.3. We will take reasonable steps to keep the Academy available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.

10.4. Access may occasionally be interrupted because of maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party platform issues, internet outages, security issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10.5. We will not be liable for short, temporary, or unavoidable interruptions in access. However, if there is a serious and prolonged failure to provide access to the core Academy service, you may be entitled to a remedy under these Terms or under applicable law.

10.6. We are not responsible for third-party platform terms, outages, data loss, or technical issues except where we are legally responsible for them.

11. Educational content and poker disclaimer

11.1. The Academy provides poker education, training, coaching, study resources, and community support.

11.2. The Academy does not provide financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, gambling advice, or any regulated professional advice.

11.3. Nothing in the Academy guarantees that you will:

  • win money playing poker;

  • become a profitable poker player;

  • achieve a particular return on investment;

  • move up in stakes;

  • win tournaments;

  • become a professional poker player;

  • receive staking, sponsorship, backing, or other poker opportunities.

11.4. Poker involves variance, risk, skill, decision-making, and financial uncertainty. Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your skill level, discipline, bankroll management, study habits, game selection, schedule, mental game, volume, opponents, variance, and the games you choose to play.

11.5. You are solely responsible for your own poker decisions, bankroll decisions, game selection, staking decisions, and whether you choose to play poker.

11.6. You are responsible for ensuring that playing online or live poker is legal in your location and that you comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, platform terms, and tax obligations.

11.7. The Academy is not a gambling operator and does not provide gambling services, betting facilities, poker games, staking arrangements, or financial guarantees.

11.8. Please play responsibly. If poker or gambling is causing you financial, emotional, or personal harm, you should stop playing and seek appropriate help.

12. Community rules and acceptable use

12.1. The Academy includes a private community. To keep the community useful and respectful, you agree that you will not:

  • harass, abuse, threaten, bully, insult, or discriminate against other members;

  • post hateful, obscene, defamatory, misleading, unlawful, or offensive material;

  • spam the community or repeatedly post irrelevant content;

  • make unsolicited promotions of your own goods or services;

  • scrape, copy, harvest, or misuse member information;

  • share private member content outside the Academy without permission;

  • upload viruses, malware, or anything designed to damage or interfere with our systems;

  • impersonate another person;

  • use the Academy for unlawful purposes;

  • behave in a way that damages the Academy, our business, our reputation, or the experience of other members.

12.2. You may communicate with other members for the purpose of participating in and benefiting from the Academy.

12.3. You must respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members. Hand histories, database information, screenshots, personal information, results, videos, comments, and questions shared by other members must not be shared outside the Academy without permission.

12.4. We may moderate, edit, move, or remove posts or comments where we reasonably consider this necessary.

12.5. If you breach this clause, we may suspend or terminate your Membership. In serious cases, we may terminate your Membership without refund.

13. Intellectual property

13.1. We own, or are licensed to use, all intellectual property rights in the Academy and the Materials.

13.2. Your Membership gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Materials for your own personal poker study and training.

13.3. You must not, without our prior written consent:

  • copy, reproduce, download, record, publish, share, distribute, sell, license, or make available any Materials;

  • create derivative products, courses, content, coaching materials, or services based on the Materials;

  • share Academy recordings, videos, worksheets, templates, frameworks, or resources outside the Academy;

  • use our Materials for commercial purposes;

  • use our name, logo, branding, or trademarks;

  • record live calls, workshops, office hours, coaching sessions, or other Academy content.

13.4. You may use what you learn in the Academy for your own personal poker development. These Terms do not prevent you from applying general knowledge, poker strategy, or skills you develop through the Academy to your own poker study and play.

13.5. You acknowledge that some poker concepts, strategy ideas, and information discussed in the Academy may already exist in the public domain. We do not claim ownership over general poker knowledge or information already in the public domain.

13.6. We do protect our specific Materials, course structure, recordings, frameworks, explanations, written resources, videos, workshops, templates, and other Academy content.

13.7. This clause survives termination of your Membership.

14. Member Content

14.1. You retain ownership of any Member Content you submit to the Academy.

14.2. By submitting Member Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, display, reproduce, adapt, and share that Member Content inside the Academy for the purposes of:

  • operating the Academy;

  • providing feedback, coaching, and education;

  • facilitating community discussion;

  • creating replays, summaries, training examples, or internal Academy resources;

  • improving the Academy.

14.3. We may use anonymised or aggregated Member Content for educational, analytical, or business purposes, provided it does not identify you personally.

14.4. We will not knowingly use your identifiable image, voice, name, testimonial, personal results, personal database information, or identifiable Member Content in public marketing materials without your separate consent.

14.5. You confirm that any Member Content you submit:

  • is accurate to the best of your knowledge;

  • does not infringe anyone else’s rights;

  • does not contain anything unlawful;

  • does not include confidential information you are not allowed to share.

14.6. We may remove Member Content at our discretion where we reasonably consider it to breach these Terms, create risk, or be inappropriate for the Academy.

15. Recordings, replays, and live sessions

15.1. We may record Academy calls, workshops, office hours, hot seats, coaching sessions, Q&A sessions, or other live sessions.

15.2. By attending a recorded session, you agree that your image, voice, name, comments, questions, hand histories, screen shares, and contributions may appear in the recording.

15.3. Recordings may be made available inside the Academy for members to watch as part of their Membership.

15.4. If you do not want your face or name to appear in a recording, you should turn your camera off, avoid sharing your screen, and use an appropriate display name where the platform allows.

15.5. We may edit recordings before making them available.

15.6. We may remove recordings at any time.

15.7. We will not use identifiable recordings of you in public advertising, public social media content, public YouTube videos, sales pages, or other public marketing materials without your separate consent.

16. Changes to the Academy

16.1. The Academy is an evolving membership. We may make reasonable changes to the Academy from time to time.

16.2. These changes may include:

  • adding, updating, replacing, or removing Materials;

  • changing the structure of the community;

  • changing the schedule, timing, frequency, or format of live sessions;

  • changing coaches, trainers, guests, or contributors;

  • changing the platform used to deliver the Academy;

  • changing the way content is organised;

  • updating content to reflect changes in poker strategy, software, platforms, or member needs;

  • making technical, security, or operational changes.

16.3. We will try to ensure that any changes do not materially reduce the overall value of your Membership during your current paid period.

16.4. If we make a material reduction to the core Academy service during your current paid period, and that reduction materially affects the Membership you purchased, you may contact us to cancel and request a fair refund for any unused part of your current paid period.

16.5. We are not required to provide a refund for minor changes, improvements, updates, temporary changes, scheduling changes, changes outside our control, or changes that do not materially reduce the overall Academy service.

17. Changes to these Terms

17.1. We may update these Terms from time to time.

17.2. We may make changes to reflect:

  • changes in the Academy;

  • changes in the law or regulatory requirements;

  • changes in payment, platform, or operational requirements;

  • improvements in clarity;

  • security or technical requirements;

  • new features or services.

17.3. If we make a material change to these Terms that affects your rights or obligations, we will give you reasonable notice by email or through the Academy.

17.4. Changes will not affect your current paid billing period in a way that materially disadvantages you unless the change is required by law, regulation, platform requirements, security reasons, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

17.5. If a material change disadvantages you, you may cancel your Membership before the change takes effect. If you do not cancel and continue using the Academy after the change takes effect, you will be treated as having accepted the updated Terms.

17.6. The version of the Terms in force when you purchase or renew your Membership will apply to that paid period unless these Terms are updated in accordance with this clause.

18. Suspension and termination by us

18.1. We may suspend or terminate your Membership immediately if:

  • you fail to make a payment when due;

  • you share your account access;

  • you breach these Terms;

  • you breach our community rules or Acceptable Use Policy;

  • you misuse the Academy, Website, Community, Materials, or another member’s content;

  • you infringe our intellectual property rights;

  • you harass, abuse, threaten, or mistreat us, our team, or another member;

  • you act fraudulently, dishonestly, unlawfully, or in bad faith;

  • your conduct harms or is likely to harm the Academy, our business, our reputation, or other members;

  • we are required to do so by law, regulation, court order, payment provider, platform provider, or other competent authority.

18.2. If we terminate your Membership because of your serious or repeated breach of these Terms, you will not be entitled to a refund.

18.3. If we terminate your Membership for convenience, or because we permanently discontinue the Academy, we will provide a fair refund for any unused part of your current paid period, unless we provide a reasonable alternative or unless you have breached these Terms.

18.4. On termination:

  • your access to the Academy will end;

  • your licence to use the Materials will end;

  • you must stop using the Materials;

  • you must delete or destroy any Materials you have downloaded, copied, or saved, unless we have expressly allowed you to keep them;

  • any clauses intended to survive termination will continue to apply.

18.5. Termination does not affect any rights, obligations, or liabilities that arose before termination.

19. Our liability to you

19.1. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • breach of your statutory rights where we are not legally allowed to limit or exclude liability;

  • any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

19.2. We are responsible for providing the Academy with reasonable care and skill.

19.3. We are not liable for losses caused by:

  • your poker decisions;

  • your gambling or financial decisions;

  • variance or poker results;

  • your failure to follow training or guidance appropriately;

  • your failure to comply with applicable laws or poker platform rules;

  • third-party platform issues outside our reasonable control;

  • interruptions caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

19.4. If you purchase the Academy as a consumer, we are not liable for business losses. The Academy is primarily provided for personal poker education and training.

19.5. If you purchase the Academy as a business, company, trader, professional player, coach, or for purposes connected with your trade, business, craft, or profession, we will not be liable for:

  • loss of profits;

  • loss of revenue;

  • loss of business;

  • loss of anticipated savings;

  • loss of goodwill;

  • loss of data;

  • loss of contracts;

  • indirect or consequential losses.

19.6. Subject to clause 19.1, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Academy, your Membership, or these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the Academy in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

19.7. This clause survives termination of your Membership.

20. Privacy and data protection

20.1. We will process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

20.2. Our Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

20.3. The Academy may involve the use of third-party platforms, including Stripe, Circle, email providers, analytics providers, and other software providers. These platforms may process your personal data in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies.

20.4. You must not upload, post, or share personal data about another person inside the Academy unless you have the right to do so.

21. International members

21.1. The Academy is operated from the United Kingdom, but members may join from other countries.

21.2. If you access the Academy from outside the United Kingdom, you are responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you.

21.3. You are responsible for ensuring that online poker, live poker, poker training, and any related activity is lawful where you live, study, or play.

21.4. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you in your country or region and cannot legally be excluded.

22. Notices and communication

22.1. You accept that communication with us will mainly be electronic.

22.2. We may contact you by email, through the Website, through the Community, or by posting notices inside the Academy.

22.3. Notices sent by you to us should be sent to support@mttpokerschool.com or to our postal address stated in clause 1.

22.4. We may send notices to the email address you provided when joining the Academy.

22.5. An email notice will be treated as received 24 hours after it is sent, unless the sender receives an automated delivery failure notice.

22.6. A postal notice will be treated as received two working days after posting if sent by first class post within the UK.

23. Complaints

23.1. If you have a complaint about the Academy, please contact us at support@mttpokerschool.com.

23.2. We will aim to respond to complaints within a reasonable time.

23.3. If your complaint relates to billing, cancellation, access, conduct, or a technical issue, please include as much relevant information as possible so we can investigate properly.

24. Transfer of rights

24.1. You may not transfer your Membership or any rights under these Terms to another person without our prior written consent.

24.2. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, provided this does not materially reduce your rights under these Terms.

25. Entire agreement

25.1. These Terms, together with any terms expressly referred to in them, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your Membership.

25.2. You acknowledge that you have not relied on any statement, promise, assurance, or representation that is not set out in these Terms, on the relevant sales page, or in the relevant checkout information.

25.3. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

26. Severance

26.1. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that part will be treated as deleted to the extent necessary.

26.2. The rest of these Terms will continue to apply.

27. Waiver

27.1. If we do not enforce any part of these Terms, or delay enforcing them, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce them later.

27.2. Any waiver must be given in writing.

28. Third-party rights

28.1. No person other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

29. Governing law and jurisdiction

29.1. These Terms are governed by English law.

29.2. If you are a consumer, you may bring legal proceedings in the English courts. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or another country, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts under applicable consumer law.

29.3. If you are purchasing as a business, company, trader, professional player, coach, or for purposes connected with your trade, business, craft, or profession, you and we agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your Membership.
